Hmm. What to work on next? I have a few more borders for you as well as some shamrock earrings. I need to revisit the lily earrings and clean up the trillium earrings.
I saw someone on Facebook mention the Sofia font. I may give that a shot. Any opinions? I’m open to suggestions.
Here is a set lines made from 13mm stars. Each zip file contains a line of stars in 13 lengths ( 1″, 1 1/2″, 2″. 2 1/2″, 3″, 3 1/2″, 4″, 4 1/2″, 5″, 5 1/2″, 6″, 6 1/2″ and 7″) plus a single star. Download the format you need.
You are welcome to use these files to make objects for personal use or for sale. You may not resell or distribute the embroidery files. Be sure to test first.
If you are having trouble downloading the files, please read Downloading Files, which is listed in the menu at the top of the page. (On a mobile device, you may have to click Menu to see it.)

I like Sofia too but I have a question about copyrights. would a tru text font be copyrighted? If I saw something on another designers site and took the idea but not directly copied the file or picture of the project would that be a copy right violation? How do you know what is and what is not copy righted? With so many designers on the web doing so many things if your designs where close to another’s designs by accident is that a copy right violation? I guess I have more than one question. LOL

Those are good questions, and I’m not a lawyer. I can tell you that Truetype is just a format of font, and doesn’t have anything to do with whether you can use it. Nearly everything modern is copyrighted. However some designers use a license that allows you to do various things with their creations. You have to read the license and ask questions. That includes the license for your digitizing software.
Ideas can’t be copyrighted, but designs can. I think it would be very hard to prove that duplication was accidental. Digitizers often purchase artwork. Sometimes the artist sells just one copy, and sometimes many copies are sold. Two digitizers can purchase the same artwork and come up with very similar files without violating copyright.
